Water-based paint, or latex paint, dries quickly and cleans up easily, making it the preferred paint for a home’s exterior. It will also expand when warm and contract when cool, which means it will hold up in all types of weather.

It was a pleasure working with the entire Paint Denver team.  Rob, the owner, Tess, the office manager and Gregorio, the foreman painter all did a great job bidding, scheduling and completing my paint job and my place looks great.  All the unpainted surfaces, windows, , cabinets, hardware, floors, etc. were properly masked and Gregorio did a great job with the fine line finish details.  Their rates were reasonable and competitive and they were able to complete my project quickly and correctly.  Next time I need to have a paint job done, they’ll be the first company I contact.

Ricardo and Rebecca Diaz Ricardo – Painting I was born in San Diego, and came to Denver when I was 15 years old. I graduated from Columbine high school. Sun Damage—Finally, there’s Colorado’s 300 days of sunshine a year. Most people mistakenly think that paint’s biggest enemies are sleet, snow, and rain. Not so. 300 days of sun each year does far more damage to the paint on Denver metro area homes than any spring blizzard ever could.

Finally, last fall on 3 different occasions I had a booked a paint firm and they simply didn’t show up.  Then I booked another…then another.  Same result.  They said “were too busy”.  I decided to sell my house this Spring and made 6 requests to different paint firms.  One firm responded, “too busy” while the other 4 simply did not respond at all.

This review is about an negative experience I had with Steve Gowers (or one or two of his associates) on November 10th.I was driving my 4 year old daughter home from school heading east on 6th Avenue in my little old 99 Honda Civic. It was dark, and the highway was abnormally empty – just us chugging along at the speed limit in the right lane. Soon, a big truck turned on to the highway. It sped up quickly and was soon uncomfortably close behind us. The headlights were so close behind us and so bright that my daughter commented it was like daytime again. They were so bright for me, that they blinded me from seeing the road in front of me. I slowed, so that the truck could pass. He could – the highway was just us – but he chose not to. For at least two miles, the truck tailed me, flashing his brights several times at one point to intimidate us. I kept my cool, just wishing he would pass and leave us alone. The truck followed us a few more miles past that to 14th and Wadsworth, where I presume it was heading. I was able to finally get in a different lane and slow down enough to see the sign on the side of the truck that said “Steven Gowers Drywall and Painting”. There were two men in the truck.I will never knowingly do business with anyone who treats other people this way, or hires people who treat others this way. Next time I will call the police. I hope this information helps you make the same decision.
